Position: Assistant Engineer (Civil)
Job Purpose

The Assistant Engineer (Civil) is responsible for planning, designing, supervising, monitoring, and executing civil engineering works. The incumbent ensures that all construction, maintenance, and infrastructure development activities are carried out in accordance with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects.
Supervise construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance works.
Ensure that all civil works comply with approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, and engineering standards.
Conduct regular site inspections and monitor construction progress.
Verify contractors' work quality and certify completed work for payment.
Prepare estimates, cost analyses, BOQs, tender documents, and technical specifications.
Review engineering drawings, layouts, and structural designs.
Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of assigned works.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, architects, and relevant departments.
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Maintain site records, measurement books (MB), inspection reports, and project documentation.
Assist in procurement of construction materials and verify their quality.
Prepare progress reports, completion reports, and technical documentation.
Identify technical issues and recommend appropriate engineering solutions.
Participate in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Assist during inspections, audits, and project evaluations.
Ensure proper maintenance of university/government buildings, roads, drainage systems, water supply, sewerage, and other infrastructure.
Perform any other duties assigned by the  Project Director, (P & W) , Registrar, or Competent Authority.

B.E/BS (Civil) preferably in 1st division from HEC recognized University

PEC Registration shall be deemed as a basic requirement for the post.

Preference shall be given candidates having Computer skills of engineering-related software and MS Office Package.
